Gametrack: Concept: Theory
It’s a raw interactive visual representation of the emotions of songs music and lyric.
Like a soundtrack tries to express the screens visual emotion a gametrack shall express the soundtrack.
As a music video present a song static the gametrack presents it interactive.
A normal game the order is that the you create a soundtrack for the game. A gametrack game you create a game for the song.
Game: Concept: Purpose
To create short innovative games, based and build from thoughts and interpretation around music and lyrics.
Try to express something new with the game media through close conntact with the emotions in music.
Try to achive a new experience for the player and a new way to express yourself as a game creator (and musician).
A way to force aginst short production length, and maybe also a call for small production teams.
A very good challange for the game designer and rest of the production team to create a product with large context inside very tight bounderies.
Direct gameplay or a hardcore game experince, a game were player shall get the grip what he or she shall do in a blink of a second.
Gametrack: Concept: Length
The origin idée of gametrack is that the length of a game shall be the length of the song it expresses. (A truly hardcore game)
(This mean that if the game is based around a 3 minutes song the game shall be 3 minutes.)
The second game length is based to present the song, a game focus to create a good context for the song, with example pre-play and end-play.
The album game, create a game based around a album fitted with songs, were the game shall follow the album as story or only as influence base.
